Asus eee pc external DVD drives
After searching though many reviews, tests and user opinions we have selected two slim external DVD (burners) for recommendations to use with the Eee PC: The LG GSA-E50L which by online reviews isn't as fast (although specs show the DVD+R to be faster) as the Plextor below, costs a bit less and has LightScribe which the Plextor is lacking.

 The Plextor PX-608CU is slim, fast and quite drive which can run on the USB power alone. Although rated a bit slower (DVD+R) user accounts say it is a bit faster then the LG model above.

 Overall we feel that users will be very happy with either buying decision. Both models have a power supply but will run on USB power alone.
